What About Bohol?

Aside from the initial drama/adventure, these are the things that made the Bohol trip super fun and memorable.

  1. The peace and quiet one can get from the beach. Not magulo like Bora. My 1 hour worth of cat nap felt like deep slumber for 5 good hours!

  1. Bohol Beach Club. Super laki ng resort. Picture taking to death.

  1. We had the best tour guide everrrr, Majesty Jala. She was not able to meet us up at the airport kse di nagising on time! Nagpakita na sha sa amin 8pm na!!

  1. The yummy dinner we had at Bohol Bee Farm! I miss the cabcab already!

  1. Accidental catching up with DJ at the airport!

  1. Steady inuman. Buying our drinks from the sari sari store! (Nasa akin pa ang deposito slip!)

  1. Baclayon church. The name still makes me smile. And of course, this conversation with Maj:

Trina: so why is this church special nga ulit?

Maj: kse oldest church ito in the Philippines.

Trina: how old is this church na ba?

Maj: as in tinayo sha before pa dumating dito ang mga Spaniards.

Trina: (confused and ready to burst into laughter if not for the fact that they were still inside the church)

  1. Poma’s obsession with his DSLR. That means I don’t have to take much pics and I get to be in most of the pics taken!

  1. I did my very best to be friendly with the Tarsiers. (di ko talaga kaya)

  1. The man-made forest!

  1. Partycrashing in Tagbilaran City. (party hosted by Maj’s friend, Pam)

  1. And of course, the best part of the trip…….CHOCOLATE HILLS!!!

Much thanks to Poma and Maj. Cheers to CH!

I had a blast!

Happy Birthday Benjamin!

Can't get enough of Bugays talaga so spent time with them na naman last Tuesday, 30 September 2008! Birthday din kasi ng bruhang si Bej so of course celebration galore! So why, Benjamin? Trivia lang: According to my BFF (Dennis P.), Felix actually thought that Bej's real name is "Benjamin". Yun lang.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!!
:)

The Lane

After salubong, went back to Pearl to have dinner, then spent time with some of the sisses @ The Lane. Was laughing real hard for 3 straight hours (I think!) with Eunice, Ces, Diale, Hazel, Nicka, Sam, Chris and the other sisses who tried so hard na isiksik ang sarili nila sa The Lane. Pila nalang muna until the buzz or be closey with any of the part-owners (take the case of my daughters Nicka and Hazel, nasa prime spot pa)! Dooper fun night! But had to leave na because Lola Dev and I still had to go to the Patajo celebration @ Quatro.

Can’t wait for “The Line” and “The Lone” to finally open!

Frustrated Mom

I was busy drafting a petition. My mind was supposedly focused on annulment of marriage tralala. Then out of nowhere I heard little footsteps followed by a little voice calling out, "Mom? Mom?"

Out of the blue, without even thinking, I simply answered "Yes? I'm Here."

My officemate had to remind me huy si Zack yun ni Val. Hindi sayo yun.

Sigh.
Now I can't focus on work anymore.

Bongga Bingo!

with Dianne

It started out as a simple Thursday afternoon YM conversation. Poma asked where we’ll spend our scheduled Friday night out. I wasn’t too sure about the answer so I simply said, Fort area. Then there, he said the magic word na.. “BINGO”. Sheth. Para akong nagwala sa office! As in na-excite. I’ve wanted to play bingo but wala ako maisip to invite. Kasi naman diba, mejo weird if you think about it. Imagine nalang, someone texting you, busy ka? Bingo tayo! Hihihi. So anyways, I said yes to Poma’s Bingo invitation. His friend kasi, Rocky, had this Bingo event hosted by PSID class of 2008 in Megamall. So there, I texted everyone (Aleli, Dianne, Francis, Maco and Fatsy) to ditch Fort plans coz we’ll be testing our luck sa Megamall nalang. Good thang talaga they all got excited too!

So okay, okay. Come Friday, super excited na talaga. I was feeling lucky that day. And of course, ang agreement namin ni Poma to share our winnings was reason enough for me to pray so hard na manalo kaming 2!! But the day wasn’t with me. As in. Got stuck sa fire exit. Had to use the stairs at galing ako sa 19th floor oh and by the way, killer heels pa ha. This girl from the 17th refused to extend help pa. And to make everything super lovely, muntik kami ma-stuck sa baha ni Poma. Major rain kasi that night. Katakot at kaloka. We don’t even know how we got to Megamall. We simply followed cars with smart-looking drivers. Odiva.

We got there on time! Tamang tama lang for a warm-up game. Kaloka! He was holding 6 cards. Ako naman 4. Pano naman kse, our friends we’re still eating! Anyways…..super fun that night. No one from our group won (boo hoo) pero okay lang coz we had so much fun will all our pagtitili in the world. Laver Bey!!! Hahaha.

We lost!!!

Major thanks to Rocky for the invites!! Let’s make this Bongga Bingo a regular thingaloo! Maybe next time we’ll win na.

Mama's Mini Videoke Party with her own baklush army

Mama is such a sucker for videokes but she just won't admit it. Kung di ka ba naman adik, may regular mini videoke party sha at home for her friends and her gayness club. One of them parties was scheduled yesterday, 14 August 2008 to make salubong din Tita Nida's birthday. Of course, super fun na naman kahit forever we have to beg for her to sing and magpapakipot sha kunwari pero she has this list of numbers ng songs na she wants to perform naman! Betcha by Golly Wow and all Carpenters' songs! Oh, and shempre i have my own videoke song for all seasons! Joey Albert's "Iisa Pa Lamang". Kaya nga mejo irits na isa na itong teleserye ngayon! Dami namang ibang title kasi diva! Anyways, party was super dooper alive, thanks to the Music Box gayness army (Aekaye, Beauty na natalo sa singing bee, Dan Josh, Jeremy, Justine, Matuts, Attack na hindi ko naabutan, Yaya and Krissy) na laging nanjan sa mga mini videoke parties ni mother. Kalurkah talaga parang naging music box ang balay namin. Nakakinis lang kse di ko na natiis...alcohol touched my lips that night!\

Magsitulog na tayo please!
with Mama's army

Until the next one!

bang, baby, bang bang

Last Saturday was my target shooting day! Went to PPSC , Fort Bonifacio with Caron, Mercy and Sherwin. Super pressure for me because I know that all of them were so excited to hear me scream! I’m not really scared of guns. In fact, I enjoy firing pistols (finding it hard to reload though). Ang problem lang, they wanted to see me use an armalite! That is so not girly and I find it too war movie-ish kaya I hesitated a bit. But Arnel, the instructor, insisted that I try the M-16 so ayan, nagpapilit naman ako! First shot, mejo kakagulat because after pulling the trigger, tatamaan ka talaga ng gun sa shoulder if the same was not in its proper position prior to taking the shot. So hayun, until now, I still have bruises caused by the M-16. Seems na okay naman ako with the rifle so according to Kuya Jun (another instructor), full auto na natin ha, try mo. Of course, I asked muna, so ano mangyayari pag naka full-auto na? And he said, “Bale instead na BOOM, magiging BOOM BOOM BOOM”. I said okay kse hello, no problem with that naman. So okay, full auto kung full auto!!! So after all the seremonyas in the target shooting world, I pulled the trigger. And there, I screamed the most baklush scream I can ever!! EEEEEEKKKK EEEEEKKKKK EEEEKKKK. Sabi kasi BOOM BOOM BOOM, yun pala BRATATATATATATATAT!!! Hahaha. Everyone was laughing talaga!! Pati ako natawa na rin with myself (as usual!)

Anyways, I had so much fun. Targeting shooting is therapy to the max. There’s something about it that sets me free in more ways than one. You can only imagine what goes on inside my head right before I pull the trigger. Sabi nga ng instructor, okay ako mag shoot ng target, as in 3 bullets in one hole, kaya! Tsk!

That target shooting day freed me from something.

Before we left, I asked for one last date with the pistol and 5 more bullets.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.

1 to the head. 4 straight to the heart. With just one name and one thought inside my head…….

………… Katrina, wag kang titili!”

don't even think about it

A Very Special Love

The truth is I’m a sucker when it comes to Pinoy flicks. As in, Kilabot ng Pelikulang Pilipino (KPP) talaga. There’s something about Pinoy films that draws me to it. I really liked the story line. But anyways, most of our actors act really well naman kaya okay na rin to some extent. In watching Pinoy flicks, I always watch out for the lines and quotable quotes ng actors. Yung iba kse powerful talaga, as in kaloka. Whenever a great line is used in a movie I always tell myself, “shettt bakit hindi ikaw ang nakaisip/nagsulat nyan?!” haha, frustrated writer ang eksena!

Anyways, I watched A Very Special Love (starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo) in Trinoma a couple of days ago with my sisters. Being the KPP that I am, I really planned on watching this movie. Yun nga lang, napaaga ang panonood ko because of Ruby (na ohmygosh, isang umaga sa YM puro John Lloyd John Lloyd ang drama) and Alecz (na kwento ng kwento how much he enjoyed watching the film).

photo from http://starcinema.multiply.com

Like what I said earlier, mejo predictable. The usual boy meets girl, awkward moments, hurdles to face, and then tadaaaa they’ll end up din naman in each others’ arms. Ganun ang eksena. Ang mga lines okay naman. Here are some of the lines from the movie:

“I never asked you to love me “ (I’m not too sure about this one, basta to this effect)

“Kahit minsan hindi ko naramdamang nakakapagod kang mahalin…Ngayon lang.”

“Because there’s so much pain in your heart, kaya hindi mo mararamdamang mahal kita.”

Infairness, I like talaga the way John Lloyd acts. Di ko sha crush ha, I don’t get crushes (and besides, John Lloyd reminds me of an ex kasi eh). Basta drama kung drama, meh ganon! Sarah naman super funny. I never expected acting from her, and yupyup, she proved me wrong. Grabe talaga, nakakaaliw. Everytime a kilig scene comes up, ang ingay talaga sa loob ng theater. Haha. I was laughing all throughout the movie because most of the scenes were really kakatawa (ah hello, romantic comedy nga eh), and shempre natatawa ako sa kilig moments. I’m not a kiligin person kasi eh, just wasn’t born that way. Haha, ganon.

Basta bottomline, maganda sha. Kaaliw. Katuwa. Super light feeling afterwards. Until now I still laugh everytime I remember some of the scenes/lines.

Loves it!!! Go watch!

My Pair of Rubber (yes, rubber) Shoes

Since I promised myself I will take this gym tralala seriously, I needed to get myself a pair of rubber shoes. When I first thought about it, I got kind of depressed. My gosh, say goodbye na talaga to my “no rubber shoes in the shoe rack” policy ang eksena. More importantly, the idea of me buying shoes without heels scared the crappioly out of me. Uhm, wala kasi akong alam sa rubber shoes. Pare-pareho lang sila! So anyways, I texted Patbau right away because she’s an expert when it comes to rubber shoes. At inisip ko talaga pano ko sasabihin sakanya kasi I know she take me seriously pag bigla ko lang sinabi na Pat, come with me, I’ll buy rubber shoes. So…

Trina: Pat, I need your help on something. I have to buy a thing kasi and ikaw yung expert.

Pat: Ha? Ano ba bibilin mo? C _ _ _ O _?

Trina: Duh, ano ka ba! I need to buy kse rubber shoes. Please go with me.

Pat: Ohmygod, serious?? Para kanino??

Trina: Anuva, for me!

Pat: Okay, I’m fainting now. Para saan??

See!!! No one will believe talaga pag sinabi ko na bibili ako ng rubber shoes! So diba mas mahirap to imagine na isusuot ko pa ang rubber shoes!!!! So after like 2 days, I met up with Pat in Rockwell to buy na nga the rubber shoes. Shettt.

No. 1, Ayoko ng Adidas.

No. 2, I have a budget ha. To which pat replied, hoy mahal ang rubber shoes noh! Nyiiiii. Hanggang 3k lang yan, day!

Lastly and more importantly..may color requirement ako…dapat may gold ang rubber shoes!

At naloka na si Pat.

Anyways, we found the shoes in Powerplant. Biased si Pat sa Reebok so that’s what I got! Haha. How that happened, I don’t know. E diba like what I said, pare-pareho lang lahat ng rubber shoes sakin. Colors lang ang iba.

So thank you so much, Patbau!!! Yehey, may rubber shoes na ako.

P. S.

I mean, what should I get for this, for that. What’s the diff between ganitong rubber shoes and ganyan.

Trina + Gym = Ha??

Never was a big health fan. I mean, I smoke like there’s no tomorrow and drink like a fish when it comes to alcohol. So yes, it is quite a shock for most of my friends na yes, ako ay nagpupunta na sa gym! Odiva. But really, not lang because of the unhealthy lifestyle that I have. I guess it’s more of the fact na hindi talaga bagay sa personality ko ung pa athletic kuning kuning na yan. Please lang, I don’t even own a pair of rubber shoes. Well, there’s one pair I bought while I was still a law student (take note, first pair ever yan na binili ko ha). Pero napilitan pa ako simply coz my friend told me kalokohan ang magjogging pag depressed lalo na pag naka heels. Haha. That was April of 2004. And like what my momsy said in her blog, the first time nga I bought chinelas, it was chinelas with heels pa! So mej mahirap talaga to imagine that I’ll consider buying rubber shoes. Anyways, thanks to Pat for assisting me when I bought my new pair. I shall blog about it, Patricia!

I honestly don’t want to blog about my going to the gym and cause commotion and confusion. Blog-worthy moments eh. So here.

The first person who caught me was my mom’s friend, Tita Ayie. She goes din to FF so ayun, nagkagulatan kaming dalawa dun. She can’t believe I was there. Mukhang ayaw talaga maniwala na andun ako. Then, one time that I decided to go to FF North Edsa for one class bigla nalang ako may narinig na pagsigaw bago ako umakyat ng elevator, “TRINA ILARDE, TRINA ILARDE”! Ohmy, patay. I seriously didn’t want to turn my head as in pa deadma effect na lang dapat. Kasi naman, naka costume na ako then! I know my friends will die if they see me in gym outfit…at rubber shoes ha!!! Of all people, Momsy and Big Daddy Taps!! Of course, tawa kami ng tawa (well, I was kind of nahihiya talaga). It was a Sunday pa naman so Momsy was like, shett seryoso ka talaga noh, pati Linggo di mo pinatawad! And of course mall yun so nagka time pa ako magshopping. Haha! Come Tuesday naman, I went to FF RCBC with Ida because I wasn’t able to go to FF Trinoma in the morning. After our workout, chika kami ng konti sa bathroom.

Trina: Everytime I go to the gym talaga, I wish na never ko makita si Poma

Ida: Ano ka ba, bakit naman?

Trina: Pagtatawanan ako nun!!

As if heaven was listening! Paglabas na paglabas naming ng door (at 10 pm ha)…tadaaaa…Poma! Looord talaga! I wanted to die. Kasi naman I forgot to bring extra outfit kaya ung costume pa rin ung suot ko when we left the gym. And of course natatawa sha talaga. Even asked Ida, pano si Trina mag treadmill, ganito? (while trying to mimic my kikay-borderline-baklush na head sway). Grrr.

Okay fine, so it’s official. I go to the gym now and I own a pair of rubbershoes! Haha. Don’t faint you guys!

Wet and Very Wild in Agno

Yup, as the new Santugon oldies, we were invited to take part in the Alumni Critique scheduled by the Core. The usual drill, Freshmen candidates will show us the RTRs that they have prepared and of course, we’ll tell them what’s okay, what’s not, what to change, what to improve and the list goes on. (The thing is that na….objective dapat, ask Gordalinda).

"New Oldies"

with Mareng Maco

Anyways, natapos ng maaga because not all colleges were able to present RTRs. Gordon will hit the gym daw. As for Poma and I, homebound na because nga early natapos ang critique. So shempre yosi yosi muna sa Agno before mag separate ways. I miss that place! Too bad the guardhouse was sarado. Mejo umaambon na..yan ang eksena. Alecz said we better seek shade dun sa may puno like what manong magtataho did. Korek naman, hindi kami nababasa dun. After a couple of puffs, aba lumalakas ang rain at pati si manong taho ay karipas na sa pag-run. Being the consultative leaders that we are, nagka meeting muna kung anong plan of action ang ittake (may time kasi talaga eh).

Ano, Game!!!

And so all four us started to run. Since I’m the only girl (biologically speaking), shempre nauna sila. (Duh, like what Poma said nga, di nga nya ako maimagine na tumatakbo sa treadmill without my signature head sway). Anyways, ang layo na nila when I realized that. Plus, mejo nasisira na ang sandals ko. I mean, to a limited extent, okay lang for me to run na naka heels. Pero walang wet and nasisirang sandals element sana! Maybe panic ito pero bigla nalang ako nagsisigaw ng EEEEK HINDI KO PALA KAYA, HINDI KO PALA KAYA! (while still attempting to run). Good thing, my friends decided to take a stopover sa DLSU Sports Complex. I bet the guards were wondering na what happened to this girl na nagpapabasa sa ulan habang nakikipag-usap sa sarili! Shucks, kakahiya sana. Good thing, I love to laugh at myself!

"Aftermath"

Aleli with see-thru blouse, Goralinda, Babaeng Basa and Poma na naka green ulit

Haaaay. Basang basa. Iyon lang. Oo, trip ko talaga maligo sa ulan. But like what I told Poma, hindi ito counted.

Anyways, goodluck to Santugon Frosh Candidates! Derecho! At wag magpabasa sa ulan.

GAME!

Bading Man....

After one drink at Ces, Diale and Dae’s birthday bash, I had to meet up with Alecz for a previously scheduled bonding experience (yez!). We watched Dark Knight then went straight to south area for a couple of drinks and our much-needed heart to heart talk. I had issues to discuss that only Alecz can understand (yes, meh ganon!). Anyways, I was blabbing the night away when this old dude (not so old naman, pero compared to me he’s really old) told alecz ‘we can talk’. As we were really into the conversation and shempre wala kaming planong makipagchikahan sa stranger, Alecz simply told this loner na we’re having a serious conversation. Okay, the dude backed off. A couple of drinks later, this dude who’s super getting scary na at that point tried to harass me/us. He never got anything aside from pang deadma at rejection. Infairness to mother Aleli, talagang ever watchful sha kay kadiri dude (as if trying to see kung may gagawin ba itong mama na ito) while listening to me blab about my current issues. Aba shempre hello, dumadrama pa ako anuva! Kahit naman I was so into this whole telling Alecz what’s bugging me, I was trying hard din to sense kung safe ba kami or hindi. Well anyways, as Alecz would put it, hindi na siguro talaga kinaya ng old dude. He suddenly grabbed me by my shoulder while I was making drama/daldal. I was super shocked. I guess none of us really anticipated that the dude will resort to that kind of behavior. Bigla ako napasabi ng “NOOO” to the guy’s face. But the shocking part was this: as soon as Alecz saw the dude grab me by the shoulder, mejo napatayo si Alecz sa chair nya and while finger pointed at the dude, he told him “hey, you’re not supposed to do that” (in his best man voice ha). Alecz got the bill (nagmamadali at parang pikon na boylet sha habang kinakausap ang waiter) and we left the area.

While in the car, Alecz asked, “mother, ano na feel mo, natakot ka?” Honestly, hindi ako natakot. I was more of nagulat. Nagulat that suddenly, this stranger attempted to touch me. More importantly, nagulat ako na naging lalake bigla itong si Alecz. He explained that it was all instinct; he can’t understand as well why he acted that way. Odiva, may ganong drama.

It was an experience. The harassment part, wala na yun mashado. That part where Alecz tried to protect me was most important of all (that’s why I decided to blog about this). I guess it’s like that. At the end of the day, lalake pa rin talaga kahit pa girlaloo bad girl si mother. Touched ako ha, everytime kasi I’m with Alecz, I feel as if pareho kaming girlash. Kaloka, naging lalake si mother for a couple of minutes, di ko kinaya, breathtaking ang drama nitei!!

Well, Aleli, thank you so much for the eye-openers given and especially for protecting me that night.

Klusha Magnetica & Mudra for all seasons

May pag-asa pa pala, Aleli, sa mga ganyang paraan. Haha. Bits and pieces. I guess we, especially I, can live with that. Kabloom!

"LAST SUPPER" (ON ME!)

Thursday night (27 March 2008) was reserved for what momsy would call “Last Supper”. Friday we were supposed to know if we passed the bar exams or not and hence, all of us were having panic attacks. Well, actually I wasn’t (because I’m not exactly a panicky person). I guess I was just joining the bandwagon then. I was with three major paranoid girls, Momsy, Monica and Trinagar. They embody the three levels of ka-praningan.

“Crazily funny” (Momsy)— she texted Wednesday night to inform me that the answer to one of the difficult labor questions is a simple codal provision. I was shocked, I mean, after how many months, you actually spent time reading your Labor Code again??

“Technical and Philosophical” (Monica)—simple. Her panic attacks were supported by statistics and news articles/press releases.

“Unbelievably dramatic” (Trinagar)—this girl is weird. She’ll have moments when she’s just so down because of bar results and will tell you stuff like, “I’m not smarter than 4,000 people, I’m gonna flunk” grrrrr……..

Panic, panic, panic you girls!! I was truly amused with the three of them. It’s a good thing though because they calmed down a bit upon realizing how funny their panic attacks have become. Hay, hay, hay.

Anyways, we also want to thank Enteng the Magician for providing entertainment that night. Took our minds off crazy bar results.

enteng with his "i will turn your yosi into money" trick
